In April I found out I had a sticky heart valve and needed open-heart surgery at Borgess. Two days after surgery, they put in a pacemaker. The people at Reverence made regular visits to me for follow-up care while I was home recovering and it was during a visit by my occupational therapist, Lisa, that she found my irregular heartbeat. She made a note in her computer. That note saved my life because the team at Borgess was able to shock my heart to get it back to a normal rhythm. God only knows what could have happened.
I’m slowly getting better. Sometimes when I stand I’m a little light headed, but that’s getting better, too. I’m 100% satisfied with the care I got at Borgess and the care provided by Reverence. Thank you so much!
